The founders realized that “fitness bracelet” sleep monitoring or free “snore” apps don’t tell the user why they are sleeping badly, leaving consumers to choose between an ineffective $99 bracelet or an uncomfortable $1200 in-hospital sleep study. With clinical grade oxygen monitoring, pulse rate monitoring, snoring measurement, and extremely sensitive motion detection, EverSleep can identify and differentiate between many types of sleep problems. It’s a simple, comfortable, inexpensive consumer home health device that delivers much of the benefit of a true sleep lab.
DELIVERY
EverSleep partnered with Arrow Electronics and Protolabs to create a device that is made from the highest quality materials and engineering that is backed with Arrow Certified technology. The simple, innovative design uses advanced sensors to measure, analyze, and identify causes for snoring, three types of insomnia, breathing disruptions, pulse rate variations, and short sleeping. These problems all increase “fragmented” sleep and reduce quality sleep. EverSleep’s unique Smart Coaching analyzes over 5000 different measurement combinations that result in over 150 easy-to-understand coaching points and recommended products.
IMPACT
EverSleep is at the intersection of several incoming social forces: Internet of Things, the self-quantization movement, an epidemic of sleep health problems, electronics miniaturization, increasing computational power of mobile devices, increased insurance deductibles, and a dramatic shift in US healthcare policy forcing people to “own” their health and fitness in concert with their physicians.
